Last Wednesday evening I got a call at 7:30 from the company that engraved and installed Mom’s grave marker. They knew I wanted to know when it was installed and called me and said that they had “just finished” the installation a few minutes before they called.
Bruce and I decided to drive to the cemetery and see the marker for the first time. It is beautiful.
On the drive to the cemetery we had the radio in the car turned off. It was also off when we left the cemetery.
About half way home Bruce turned on the radio and what we heard was, to my way of thinking, a beautiful message from Mom. The final nine words of a song I’ve never heard before: (click on the picture)
We turned the radio off for the rest of the ride home. A beautiful gift in nine words.
